St. Andrew’s Church 188th Anniversary Brunch

March 3 @ 9:30 am11:30 am

Please join us as we celebrate the 188th Anniversary of St. Andrew’s Church with the Rev. Calum MacLeod, minister of St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland.  Discover more about our historic Scottish roots, the current reality of Scotland, and the joys and challenges of ministry in the heart of great cities on both sides of the Atlantic. We also invite you to share in worship and hear Rev. MacLeod preach on Thursday, March 1 at noon and Sunday, 4 at 10:30am.

Rev. MacLeod will be the featured guest at the St. Andrew’s Church Anniversary Brunch, which will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 3 in the Great Hall.

St. Giles’ Cathedral (The High Kirk of Edinburgh) has played a central role in the history of Scotland, sitting as it does on the High Street in the heart of the medieval Old Town of Edinburgh. Not least is its role in the Scottish Reformation, which gave birth to Presbyterian Church Government. The lecture will offer a historic review of the church, founded in 1124, reflect on its role in Scottish society and look to the future of the ministry in the centre of Scotland’s capital city.

You may buy tickets ($20 each) during Coffee Hour after Sunday worship service or on www.standrewstoronto.org. Advanced registration is required and seating is limited, so please register early! Registration must be received by noon on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Rev. MacLeod will also be speaking at the Heart of the City Speaker Series on March 1.
